Assuming the autopsy is true, she died 20 minutes after the fall. And if that's really the case, they probably wanted to keep it under wraps for a while so it wouldn't get more attention, which is the opposite of what happened, as when our social media caught wind of her accident, the macacos started screeching like crazy to save her, unbeknownst to them, she was already (most likely) dead.

Now we know this wasn’t the first tourist accident or death at that volcano. I guess this incident in particular only blew up because we brazilians are very loud, obnoxious and patriotic (at least our leftists are).

I doubt. She was first found by spanish tourists a while after the fall (I don't have an exact number) and only after that the hiking crew was alerted and arrived at the location.
So, the situation is iffy as fuck. Whichever the case, it pains me to say this, but I don't care.

Things are a bit murky, but what probably happened she fell down into a volcano (which is not the first time this has happened to a tourist there), and apparently the hiking crew was a bit neglectful and took 4 days to "rescue" her (she was dead by the time they got to her).
