You're creating an absurd false dichotomy where a man must either singlehandedly spark another pointless, evil French-style revolution which destroys everything while accomplishing nothing, or he must resign himself to mindless nihilism and detachment and mulling over his hurt feelings for "dignity" (in the eyes of none but himself). This is why the French and the Russians only have two cultural modes: rioting and depression drinking. Because you've both convinced yourselves that your pessimism is realism, that your unrestrained narcissism, debauchery, and existential cowardice are somehow noble or enlightened. Your mindset embodies all of the frailties and limitations of zen with none of the benefits. Your very philosophy is motivated by the same thing you always love to complain about in American consumerism - the all-consuming demand for utopic, euphoric instant gratification. If the world is not perfect and cannot be made so by a snap of your fingers or a vicious murder or two, you'll throw your toys and sulk "for dignity".
And everyone's expected to pantomime along with you for clout as if we're all 80iq.
