Eh, I'd say the Monkey King is a more interesting character than Hanuman (who is kind of a cuck) but the Ramayana overall is a better story than Journey to the West. The Mahabharata of course, is on another level.

India can't do any of it justice because Hindus get offended. So many characters in the actual texts are flawed in ways that is generally not acceptable to talk about. They're bad about it here in Fiji and probably worse in India.
