What we need to do (besides changing human society and nature) is prepare for natural disasters that have already arrived but that are becoming more frequent and worse. Flood protection, configure houses to handle heatwaves better, collecting and preserving drinkable water.

Bold of you to assume all of the west participates in that virtue signalling retardation. Are you aware that the rate of natural disasters is not increasing? Every single one is just obsessed over by the media now to give the impression of a climate apocalypse. Same with sea level, it's barely even changing. Is 20cm in the last 120 years alarming to you? Same with acting like heat waves are new and proof of global warming despite climate reflecting a 30yr trend not it being hot in summer. Look up the actual statistics if you want to live in reality. Definitely people need to upgrade to the 20th century and install AC, but too bad about energy being unaffordable in the places with this problem even if they had it. I do agree with the sentiment that we should adapt to what happens not try to play god thinking we are capable of influencing the entire planet's climate. It seems like what is next is a plunge into the next ice age... I'd honestly rather it stay warm from co2 but that isn't how it works sadly.

They repeatedly say they are not certain about any of this yet also claim it is a result of things caused by humans. They then claim that GCMs are finally able to "predict" the present after decades of being not a reflection of reality but of the opinions of who runs the GCM. Also note that you can make any polynomial fit work with such a paltry sample as 30 years of sea buoy temperature data. Do you not see how absurd it is to conclude humans using fossil fuels are at all relevant in climate change based ONLY on 30-200 years of data when we have clear evidence from ice cores that e.g. ice ages and rapidly warming inter glacial periods happen on a scale of thousands of years before we even knew how to burn things? How about, the climate is going to change no matter what we do so we should stop shaming ourselves and adapt to what is actually changing?

I think we all need to stop flying on planes, or riding cars. So we can cut back on emissions. Also, pay more taxes to fight carbon or something.

Meanwhile, the same billionaires who tell us to cut back, can fly on their 100+ private jets to Venice to attend Jeff Bezo's $1 billion dollar wedding.

It is very easy to avoid the massive heat we are having these days in Europe. Just create lots of clouds to avoid the massive sun radiation.

Yesterday we had thunderstorms here and the temperature went from 38 to 28-29 and it was comfy. We could do this when there is prevision of massive high temperatures
