/extraflags/ - Travel Blogposting general
attracting the wrong crowd edition

Previously on /flag/: >>212044705

>do (You) like going to places, taking photos and blogposting about it?
Welcome to /flag/ + /extraflags/, a lovely general for Extraflags users that combines your passions for geography, maps AND travel by using the Extraflags extension.

Threadly activities include travelposting, urbex, wilderness exploration, hunting for radioactive minerals, (extra)flag collecting, map filling, cycling across Europe, other autistic activities and overall funposting.

>What is Extraflags?
Extraflags is an open-source userscript that lets you choose regional flags, like states and provinces, to add to your already existing default country flag.
Turns out, it's very well suited for travel posting because you can flex with the ultrarare flags you're travelling to (rather than using it as a tripcode for posting in other threads)

Instructions and video guides for installing Extraflags can be found here: https://flagtism.gitlab.io/Extra-Flags-for-4chan/
Requests to add or change flags can be made here: https://gitlab.com/flagtism/Extra-Flags-for-4chan/-/issues

probably, it's still usable but i would have definitely made it bigger. probably trying with 7500 first

this also makes me think that it's impossible to make a map for the whole SEA that includes PH's 2nd level, in the other SEA countries the 2nd level is usually bigger but often still needs to be flagged (might be possible to some extent)

Anonymous Italy No.212323005 [Report] >>212323070 >>212327913
In the past on /flag/ it wasn't very well know how to change the default flag (without a pass at least), and it was possible to ask other people to post the flags for them (for example in 2018 Trieste posted the italian part of Goslar's trip). This quickly degenerated in "i took a train from x to y, post the flags" and "you don't even have to post the flags yourself, there's an autistic italian with a vpn that will do all the work for you". A couple people even saw extraflaggers in other threads travelling, asked them where they went and reconstructed the flags to post here. Most of those people haven't even ever posted here one time.
All of the above is now EXTREMELY discouraged, expecially now that it's very well know *how* to change flags without a vpn (and a pass, which i recommend anyway but i can't pretend that everyone has one)

do you care about posting your flags? we're here to help you. you don't care? we don't care about you either

Because the Kalfat belde includes four other villages (Hacıhasan, Hatipler, Sünnetçiler, Nevzat Ayaz), and the total population is 2040, which is why the belde status was reinstated. Also, yes, they have a social media presence.

Fun fact: Boris Johnson's great-grandfather, Ali Kemal Bey, is from there. When Boris Johnson was elected as the British Prime Minister, there were celebrations in Kalfat.
