Industrialization is the worst thing that can happen to birthrates. It's all people living together in overpopulated cities with huge costs of living. No wonder you can't have many kids like that.

If you live in the countryside kids are basically "free" workforce or at least a helping hand for when you age up and have to give someone your property. Also in the countryside people are more forced to have a sense of community and less individuality, which forces people to form groups and big families instead of just fishing for whores on Tinder.

I'm surprised that no country seems to realise how this is the core problem causing low natality, or they just don't care because muh GPD and muh economy must go up and the best way to do that is through a service based economy based around big cities. If no countries move away from this philosophy we are all doomed.

The immediate reason that they don't - especially young people - is because of migrants and outsourcing driving wages into the ground. On a broader scale, the problem is that western economies are organized around CONSOOMing.

There's a US brand called Carhartt which used to be THE workwear brand for blue-collar labor of all stripes starting in the fucking 19th century because it was very durable, excellent value for the money and domestically manufactured. Then they couldn't compete with cheap shit for the aforementioned reasons - wage stagnation, purchasing power decline, competition from extensively outsourced competitors, etc. - and they started outsourcing labor and expanded into being a "lifestyle" brand. They still offer the workwear but it's lower-quality, almost none of it is manufactured domestically and their main focus is their fashion brand.
