All immigrants should come on working visas, not being able to bring their families, not being able to ever get nationality, and if the job ever ends they will get automatically deported. Gulf countries do something like that and it's the best solution to the working shortage in most Western countries.

The difference between the US and India, Mexico, and other third world shitholes today is much greater than the difference between the US and Ireland, Italy, and other white nations back then. Economically, racially, and culturally.
Chinese mostly went back after helping on the railroads. They were migrant workers, not immigrants, and the government wasn’t completely sold out to business interests back then.

By mostly white workers yes, not slaves. The US was 80-90% for most of its history. Whites founded the country and built it more than any other race by far. It has always been business elites goal to undermine the American worker with cheap labor
