Two sad things about the UK I learned was
1. They had an entire era called Cool Britannia where they became insecure about their old image, and wanted to rebrand to the world as a hip, black, diverse place just as cool and black as the USA. I had this right-wing brit professor who was shockingly open about this and said "We wanted to tell the world: This is not the tea-sipping, white bread, castles and swords Britain of our lame grandparents. We are black, we rap, and have street cred"
Secondly if you compare demographic trends, the UK is being colonized faster per century than the USA was. Comparing US census from 1610 to 1910 to the UK from 1950 to 2050 projections. The US natives decline 90% over 300 years to 10% by 1910, or 30% per century very roughly. UK is around 35%-45% depending on 2050 projection for under-30 population
