I think they're mostly East Asians mixed with Austronesian natives, think Han Chinese + New Zealand or Hawaiian native (they expanded from Taiwan southwards), with a bit of archaic Negrito, Papuan/ Australian aboriginal and maybe pre-IE Indian blood here and there.

i was born in the philippines but i'm from a multigenerational spanish family so i know a lot about this. aboriginal filipinos are negritos. if you mix a spanish or chinese with a 70iq filipino native you still get barely above borederline retarded. this makes the philippines not the mexico of asia but the india of asia. what do i mean by this? dravidian (aboriginal indians), aboriginal australians, aboriginal philippines (part of the austronesia family) are all cut from the same low iq black cloth -- australian aboriginal people are actually descended from the original Dravidian peoples

I recently visited Philippines and the appearance of people there, architecture and food had nothing to do with China or India
Everything about their culture seemed closer to Salvador or Mexico

Before I visited the Philippines I went to Chiang Mai for vacation and was a surprise that all the local people there looked like Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. They were not the brown-skinned Thai people I knew, I had been to Bangkok and Phuket before. The only brown-skinned people I saw there were Burmese refugees at a Burmese restaurant called Ochatee. They looked almost like Indians, so if I had to guess their race, I would have had a hard time guessing that they were Southeast Asians

Very little. There are some Filipinos who come here to work as english teachers/doctors/tech, but the amount is very. Meanwhile East Asians have their own enclaves and we do Chinese/Japanese/Korean cultural festivals and stuff.
Also I agree with the above American, Filipinos have this different cheerful personality to them. If someone wants an azn wife/gf without all the bad azn stuff like Passive aggressiveness, they should find a Filipino.
