I don't care what our government says, Canada is not a bilingual country. We are an Anglo country with a relatively small French minority concentrated in one region. All of this official bilingualism stuff is horse shit just meant to appease Quebec separatists. There is no need of it, especially since the serious separatists have all grown up and realized how econimically fucked they would be on their own. They aren't going anywhere, not that I would care if they did.

Hardly any Anglo-Canadians learn any French beyond middle school vocabulary. There is no need to. But any Quebecker who is serious about having a real career needs to learn English. That's just how it is.
