most of them in the country are but the city i'm in right now is extremely heckin walkable and driving around would be a huge hassle because the streets are so narrow and there's sidewalks everywhere.

yes, my city is made of massive stroads covered with national chain businesses, everybody drives at least 50mph on them and there are no sidewalks

The cities are very car centric but the individual neighborhoods tend to be walkable within themselves.
