Jesus, I can't imagine how bad the housing market is outside the US when even here people are having a hard time affording a home and we are apparently one of the best. Also I thought homes in rural Japan were fairly cheap?

I already own a house. My parents bought it for me because they knew I would never be able to afford one on my own. The market value of my house has doubled since they bought it, and honestly I'm worried about being able to pay the taxes on it one day if the market keeps going higher. Property tax is basically having to pay rent on your own house, which is fucking gay.
