as far as I know, modern Koreans are a mixture of Manchurian agricultural people called Yemaek, and Korean peninsula natives called Han(韓) who were also agricultural. The earliest Yemaek country was Gojoseon which is believed to be agricultural society.
although I read that Yemaeks could be related to Scythians, or is an eastern branch of Scythians themselves, which might suggest that Yemaeks were nomadic before the times of Gojoseon. but I don't know how credible this claim is, I read it on namuwiki
