The 1990s were the peak of (fit, white, educated) men and women imo. Girls fashion and makeup was much better back then, while not being overly whorish or trashy like today. Men could still be fit and allow themselves ample clothing, the occasional hobo ponytail or beard.
All of this without toxic social media. My father and cousins described that era very well for me, they had interactions I could only dream of and the social atmosphere was clearly different, even when comparing people's attitudes and not necessarily mine, which I agree aren't flawless.
