Also it's not like I said it's the only factor. Sure, general intelligence of parents and societal attitudes are also big factors, but everything is becoming unaffordable, and poor economical environment for raising a family is usually the top factor when (first world) people are surveyed why they don't have children

There's a heavy social pressure to have children here even in secular families and because this country is small extended families are very close to one another which helps raising the children. you also get tax writeoffs depending on how many kids you have.
Also it's deep rooted in jewish tradition to have many kids, its one of its key tenets

I read somewhere a theory that villages always have had high birthrates and cities have always had negative birthrates acting as a population sink from the villages. And since 90% of the population now lives in cities you can guess why everything has a negative birthrate. Even Africa is quickly nearing below replacement levels as the continue to urbanize.
