Lowest recorded temperature in Bergen, Norway: -16.3 C

Lowest recorded temperature in Dallas, Texas: -19 C

Keep in mind Dallas is in the southern part of the US, it gets much colder above it. North America has BOTH colder winters and hotter summers than all of Europe. Is temperate climate what makes Europeans such sissies?

Last winter I was out 10+ hours a day/night in picrel.
And it's barely worth mentioning since negative 35c and colder during cold fronts is very common.

well but i dont and also, in this terrain temperature can vary by as much as 30c in just a normal commute.
worst differential i seen was 0c in trondheim and less than an hour of driving its -35c.
snow depth is much the same, its goes from green grass to 1,5m within the city limits of trondheim. bergen has glaciers and ski resorts that get 5m within short distance.
the roads between oslo, bergen and trondheim all pass through some kind of winter hell and regulary get closed.

Indeed, when look up the forecast on Weather Underground for my area, the predicted rainfall is usually way overstated, and when it says 50% cloud cover, what that means is a slight veil of cirrus with about 10% attenuation when it comes to light and heat.

At-30 I'm already concerned even with a full tank of gas. Sometimes I'm kind of amazed at how much capacity pig-poles in my area have: If I loaded every circuit in my place to the max I suppose it would about 30KW, but as far as I can tell by casually looking around each one can handle more than 3X that much.
