It's a nice place actually, with very diverse landscapes. I don't think people from countries in its sphere of influence can say anything negative about it. Indonesia would be like the Philippines if they hadn't been civilized by Indians. Same goes for Thailand/Cambodia/Myanmar. Without Hinduism and Buddhism they'd just be some brown rice-eating coomhole.
