It's sad how hard they try to distance themselves from being Latinx to get the approval of Europeans and Americans, but at the same time they try to label Mexico as south american just because we are neighbours of USA and that makes them jealous.

That never happened and we don't feel jealous at all. Your country's image worldwide is pretty negative precisely for being their neighbor. They hate your guts. I prefer having Argentina as our neighbor. You can keep them.
