Do zoomers in your country still bluepilled with the parental/media narrative of higher education and high paying white collar desk jobs instead of learning trade and skills or being a farmer/ranch owner? In here they are still like this and they can't find a job lol. It is going worse but they still believe same old boomer story. They are coping with "if Erdogan goes I will find a comfy high paying desk job because CHP/Ozdag will fix the economy" and don't know any shit about what's going on the world. Man, we will live in Deus-Ex cyberpunk dystopic universe in 2050s and do you really still believe your parent's old stories? This shit out of fashion now. Learn something useful or die.

Just learn a trade where you can
>have no health insurance
>work 12 hours a day with no breaks
>destroy your body and live in constant excruciating pain after 50
>develop a painkiller/alcohol addiction due to said pain
>constantly get undercut in wages in a never ending race to the bottom
>get exploited by your employer to work overtime for not additional pay (if any)
Everyone I know who parrots this “just learn a trade” bulldhit was either too poor to attend college or dropped out and is now trying to convince themselves that they actually love their shitty life. I guess it better than suicide. I went back to school and got a real degree and it was the best decision of my life.

what you're saying has been true up until right about now. degree jobs were always superior, and will keep being superior, but the problem is that there simply are too many people who want degree jobs and not enough degree job openings, a number that will now start falling off a cliff as more and more office work can be trivially automated thanks to LLMs

>AI is coming to steal your job saar
This is like telling a tradey that they’ll be replaced by robots. It’s not happening anytime soon, there are too many intricate details and moving parts in both hands on trade work and pencil pushing office work.
Pretty much every company I know of is trying to integrate AI into their workflow right now, and they’re all discovering the exact same thing. It takes just as much, if not more time to use AI to bring a task to 80% completion and then pay a human to finish it and fix all the mistakes than it does to just have a human do everything. The future isn’t AI totally replacing human jobs, it’s humans using AI to increase the speed at which they can produce work.

Lmao. In Turkey they have standards like kings. Their wage is EU tier or more, have best health insurance etc.
Employers do whatever they want because there is a shortage of tradesmen. Same applies to other countries too because all people after 90s started graduating from universities so nobody wants to do that type jobs. Whike you can see STEM graduates everywhere looking for jobs with just a little bit more than minimum wage. LOL.

Not here. They require a bachelor's or equivalent work experience. These aren't kids you pull off the street but experienced builders that usually get post secondary education later in their careers.

>Prestige is irrelevant when the only thing that matters is nepotism
You can't beat nepotism but you can beat the other 99% of dumbasses that work in trades. Not every non-shit job is nepotism. If anything, safety inspectors are more nepotistic as they're usually close with city council.

>While engies have more growth opportunity, you must enjoy whatever you are into, studying a STEM major if you are forced to is hell
I get this one. If you fucking hate math, then don't do it. Most of it is formulaic and doesn't require novel thought but it helps when shit goes sideways and you have to reason why a design or implementation didn't work.

That's cuz you need a PE loicense to work as a CivE in America. The funny thing is that a lot of Mexican and Canadians CivEs could easily get it due to USMC provisions making it easy for Mexican and Canadian CivEs to apply their degree + years of work experience in their home country as part of the pre-reqs for a PE license, even though surprisingly few people take advantage of it.

I feel you, brother. What was your subject?
>'retraining' and 'reskilling'
Capitalism needs an army of unemployed by definition, there's no such thing as too many hands. Even if the unemployment rate is 10%, you can be sure the liberals and businessmen still would advocate for reskilling and mass importations of "skilled" workers to increase the competition for jobs, inflate the assets value and maintain the downward pressure on wages. A liberal not defending existence of unemployment is like a bee protesting against honey. Germany is especially hilarious in this sense because they classify everybody as a skilled worker here: nurses, bus drivers, forklifter operators, that helps to justify importation of foreigners. And I am speaking as a foreigner in Germany.
