It's said that "familiarity breeds contempt" and here I am wondering – what then?

What happens when, more or less, every human is cognizant of the rest of the planet?
Globalization and globalism relies to a degree of ignorance & peripheric blindness to work.

Once that's gone?
And that we'll never leave this planet/galaxy because the technology to do so can't be achieved/reached; and no, space aliens don't exist either, otherwise they would've taken notice of our disadvantage...

What then?

Aliens exist they're just too far away from us to notice.

I appreciate you don't disagree with what I've written besides that point.

Globalism doesn't rely on people thinking of one another as mystic shamans with deep secrets. That's a Victorian view. The globalism of today relies on elites of Earth setting up a trading network and a flow of wealth and manpower between one another. Even if humans one day depart from Earth, the culture and appearance of people who grow up in the vacuum of space will be drastically different from the average human. Diversity will find you one way or another. And if humans can't work with diversity as of now, it will be much harder in the future.
