Are skinny jeans still considered a teenager's attribute in the US and UK?
I decided to create this thread because recently watching videos about a TikTok man named Paul Braidge, I noticed how many bloggers really emphasized the fact that he has skinny jeans as something "teenage", and before that, when I watched videos about Brandon Brutal, they talked about his skinny jeans the same. While in Russia you can meet a boomer in skinny jeans much more often than a teenager, because the overwhelming majority of teenagers and just young men and women now wear either straight jeans or wide ones like those of grunge or rappers of the 90s, because skinny jeans are considered something old-fashioned and lame.
To me, this Paul is dressed like a regular boomer, not someone trying to look like a teenager.
>>212495994 (OP)Converses are the most teenage thing he's wearing
>>212496037new? boomer = non-teenager
>>212496037ok, millenials and boomers. But this does not change the fact that we mostly wear 35+. Skinny jeans now add at least +15 years to your age, it ages a person
>>212496070>ConversesThese converse have been around for way longer than your grandma or grandpa. I've seen so many boomers wearing them because they're so old and classic.
>>212495994 (OP)Jeans is ugly no matter what shape it's in.
Dress linen pants or something if you're above the age of 10.
>>212496283Converse are for women and bottoms.
>>212496181If he was fit and wore skinny jeans he'd be a faggot kek
>>212495994 (OP)You know perfectly well that young people wear baggy clothing throughout the world nowadays and skinny jeans are out of fashion. This trend originated in the US, then it spread to other places, eventually arriving in Russia as well. As with most fashion trends, it came to Russia from the West with a certain delay.
Whatever you're reading in these comments, you're probably misinterpreting.
>>212496380This was a bit earlier, during the Iron Curtain. Now Russians are catching up with fashion pretty quickly, and I learned that skinny jeans were going out of fashion back in 2017. Now I haven't seen skinny jeans on young people for about 5 years.
Skinny jeans got a second wind during the late 10's in mainstream adult fashion but they're once again considered unfashionable. I don't wear 'skinny' jeans but I prefer my jeans to be on the slimmer side. Baggy clothes has always felt weird on my body and I prefer more form fitting clothes.
The commenters sound like out of touch old people who haven't paid much attention to these things in over a decade. They are also probably fat and defensively trying to paint these guys as immature for not weighing 300lbs.
>>212495994 (OP)They are considered childish looking especially on older adults since in the past skinny jeans were only worn by young people
I haven't worn a pair of jeans in 3 years
>>212496712I used to prefer either skinny or tight jeans and for a long time I couldn't accept that skinny jeans were going out of fashion. But in the last 3 years I've really fallen in love with wide pants, I feel like a rapper or an alternative guy or a skater from the 90s, and I have no desire at all to wear the skinny jeans that are lying around at home again, and for me now skinny jeans seem as strange as wide jeans once seemed to me
In Atlanta every nigga wears skinny jeans even when they are in their 40s.
