2004, my dad would let me poke around his computer in the basement. I was 4 and it's been a problem ever since.

2001 I think, I remember how magical it used to be. thousands upon thousands of amateur pages hosted on the likes of lycos/angelfire/geocities about seemingly anything

my dad worked as an IT guy and we had a big beige box computer that we used to play worms together on when I was really young. on the open net though was probably actually in primary school, there were a few decades where the british government really pushed for children to learn computing (hence where the bbc micro came from), we had classes on basic computer logic and being taught how to properly touchtype, I don't think they teach these things anymore though presuming everyone has a smartphone since birth. anyway I accidentally discovered porn when I was 10 years old and it's been all downhill from there

I’m a zoomer that was born when the world wide web era had already begun, so I don’t remember my first exposure to it

I remember making accounts on forums and posting as early as 2002. For some reason the Funky Chickens HTML website stands out to me when I was making my own free websites.
I can't really remember using the internet in the 90s, but I lived through the windows 95 -> 98 era and remember the big tower Compaq computers. Regretfully I skipped entirely Quake -> Counter-Strike -> Unreal online play because I was too busy being a consolefag. I didn't pick of PC gaming again until 2004 when Half-Life 2 released.

I was 6 years old and on bonus.com, which at the time had text based games.

Then I didn't use the internet at all again until I was 16, and I found my way to 4chan within literally 3 months and have stayed here for over a decade now.

2003 or something, in the local library you could use a computer half an hour for 1€, I remember just googling stuff and printing out random pictures, it was fun.
My first computer I got a couple of years later, my grandpa bought me one of the best laptops available, with an Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA graphics, and 4 gigabytes of RAM. It was a beast for a little shitter who does not know anything about computers, I didn't know what luck I had until years later.

January, 2003.
We had no internet at home yet, but my older cousin did and he showed me a BR website called "assustador.com" which was full of pics of dead people, fake ghosts etc. Pic related was one of them.
I actually believed in it. I was only 6.
