yes I get the sentiment, confidence is important. but east asians are just hardcoded genetically into believing any direct confrontation/assertiveness is rude so it takes a lot of effort to act confident. that's why Asians always do those weird meek handshakes barely grabbing each other's hand-almost just hovering on each other's hands- bowing and nodding pathologically, sometimes grabbing with two hands or doing other weird poses.
