photography isn't about the camera, it's about the journey

Mainly for outdoors stuff like landscape, road trip shenanigans, wandering around, nothing cringe like street, fashion or product
I wanted it as an always on me camera

Mirrorless cameras are all more than enough for any amateur. It comes down to how much you can spend (if it doesn't matter go Sony) and the lens selection

Never ask for advise from 4chan boards. You're probably better off here asking for photography tips than on /p/. For some reason people who post on dedicated boards don't actually partake in the hobby

The OM-D E-M1 Mark III is godtier for actual shooting. Weather-sealed, lightweight, insane IBIS, fast AF, and paired with sharp M.Zuiko glass, You’ve got a field beast, not a spec sheet trophy.

But the truth is: no camera will ever feel “enough” if your brain’s addicted to chasing “better.” You gotta shift the dopamine from researching to making shit.

Take that EM1-III, go out, shoot. Bad light? Shoot. Boring street? Shoot. Don’t even try to “impress” anyone. Just document your life like it matters. Frame it like you're building a photo time capsule for someone 100 years from now.

Gear peace comes when you start associating the camera with memories, not specs.

You're not behind. You just started. And you already own a tool good enough to carry you for years if you let it.

Let go. Go shoot, chad!

Thanks Slayer.
I've noticed I have that problem a lot though, like earlier I was looking at upgrades for my PC and fell into another rabbit hole of gear and spec autism
I don't know how to just finally decide and be happy

That's just the autistic grotesque pig we have in the back of our heads that always tells us our shit is subpar. here’s a cheat code: decide once and refuse to look back. Lock it in like it’s life or death. Force your dumb dopamine starved brain to bond with what you have. Give it time. Make memories with the gear until it becomes part of your story, not just a tool.

You’re not gonna spec your way into happiness. Unless you have niggercam3000 from uganda the only “right setup” is the one you stop second guessing and actually use. I believe in you

Here's a tip: buy a second hand full frame DSLR. They can be had very cheap these days as can the lenses for those systems now that mirrorless is the new shiny thing. There are some great F mount and EF mount lenses out there that can be snagged for a bargain.

Did you buy it used? Quite a big investment for a beginner. Otherwise it's a very good camera.

Buy a camera and lenses with a $2,000 loan.
Save $1 a day.
You'll pay for it in 6 years.
Do it every 6 years.
