It'll stabilize at the optimum level eventually and things will be fine, don't you already hate it how housing is expensive and wages are dropping? If there's less people you'll be even more valued. You don't understand, this actually means that living conditions for most people will stop improving. When a place gets to less than 1 children per couple, it does mean that it is a pretty fucking bad place to live. You can cope all you want about it, however it is the truth.
