I was riding my bike back home when the tyre of my bike burst right when I was very close to the curb, next to the road
Luckily I landed on the sidewalk instead of the road, where a car could have run me over
Still, very concerning

I spun out in my car last winter at 90km/h on some black ice. Did two full rotations, missed a semitruck and stopped next to the railing backwards. Zero damage to me or my car.
Never buying Chinese cheap studded winter tires again.

the worst part about riding bikes near curbs is that there's just so much rubbish that can kill bike tyres that accumulate there.
