It is interesting, yeah. American cinema plays a big role in their soft power and a lot of them are pretty popular "ethnic" stories (The Godfather, Lilo and Stitch, Joy Luck Club, etc) or something neutral like fantasy and sci-fi. Also these guys are international and huge so there's a lot more exposure to them. The only big studios I know in those countries are like what Toei/Toho from Japan? I don't even know what Italy has.

>Arcade video games caught on quickly in Japan due to partnerships between American and Japanese corporations that kept the Japan companies abreast of technology developments within the United States. The Nakamura Amusement Machine Manufacturing Company (Namco) partnered with Atari to import Pong into Japan in late 1973. Within the year, Taito and Sega released Pong clones in Japan by mid-1973. Japanese companies began developing novel games and exporting or licensing them through partners in 1974.[11] Among these included Taito's Gun Fight (originally Western Gun in its Japanese release), which was licensed to Midway. Midway's version, released in 1975, was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor rather than discrete TTL components.[12] This innovation drastically reduced the complexity and time to design of arcade games and the number of physical components required to achieve more advanced gameplay.[13]
