You sign a contract with a company that you'll study and work for them, then for 3 years you alternatingly spend 3 months at school and 3 months at the company doing intern labour. At the end you get a bachelor's degree, and usually it's easy to get hired at the company afterwards, sometimes they're even contractually obligated to give you a job offer afterwards. And throughout the entire time, even when you're at school, you get paid a wage (albeit it's only what you'd earn working part time at minimum wage)

Yes, the job market right now is easily the worst it has been ever since the crash of Soviet Union. Unironically uni students are advised to not finish their degrees because it looks prettier on your CV if you weren't unemployed for months after graduating. If I were in my mid 20s with a STEM degree, I'd bail this sinking ship of a country.
