It's actually insane Argentina ever thought this was going to work. They seriously thought Britain would just roll over and accept this humiliation while Thatcher was off banging the war drums against the Russians and Iranians every day.
What the fuck did they think was going to happen.
And they still have the arrogance to maintain their claim to it.
A nation of morons and sore losers. The Italian diaspora influence is unmistakable.

They will take over in round 2, British military already underfunded, don't have enough man power, ammo and weapons. They are falling off hard. If Argentina continue to have a strong government like the now, they can easily beat Britain after 2028. They don't even need to have manpower. Just buy lots of drones, uavs and missiles from China and blockade island/attack the British military bases and warships with huge swarms. British don't have enough logistics and money to continue a war on overseas.

Regardless of the imagined practicalities and logistics, the British claim to the Falklands is far more real and legitimate than the Argentinian one. British people settled the Falklands before Spanish people did and before Argentina existed. Britain has owned the Falklands islands longer than anyone else combined. There were no indigenous people in the Falklands before the British settled there.

Brits arguably have a better ancestral claim to the Falklands than Israelis do with Israel or Turks do with Turkey.

Respect it.

first 4 aren't arguments
you hired cypriot turks as a colonial police force against pro-independence third worldist cypriot greeks, it's caused social unrest and ethnic tensions. then you let turkish gladio operations on the island to create bigger mess. finally you let turks to invade half of the cyprus. you are the the responsible for that turkish invasion and status quo.

What u don't understand is that the military coup was losing power, so they thought it would be a good excuse to take over the islands as a way to show their power again. Thanks to them losing, the coup ended and democracy came back, so it wasnt so bad in the long run.
