When I was a kid. The only Asian people we ever saw in my town, was a
Chinese girl who had been adopted, and a taekwondo teacher from Korea. Asian people would often get refered to as ChingChongs, but not to the face of the taekwondo instructor because children are cowards. I don't know how that Chinese girl is doing now, but I regret that we called her a Chingchong or that we put cones on her head in gym class, pretending it was rice feeld's hat.
We'd make joke like.

I feel so bad now. But I had totally forgot about it until I read the word "Ching chong" from your post.
