Why do koreans and japanese deny the fact that japanese and korean are objectively related languages? You literally can translate japanese sentence word by word to korean and nothing will change. Same thing cannot be said about many obviously related european languages like english and german

Word order doesnt prove that theyre related. Practically half of the worlds languages (including many indo European languages) have SOV word order
Youre drawing conclusions from very superficial similarities
Anonymous Sweden No.212682472 [Report]
>>212681089
This is incorrect
These are inseed language families,
Koreanic has Jejuo which is considered a distinct language
and Japonic also has Ryukyuan languages which are also distinct

It's more clear because most often miss first few words when someone starts talking to you

The literacy rate in Korea was only a few percent, but thanks to education during the Japanese colonial period, it rose to a level that could be called civilized, so it's only natural that there are similarities. Koreans probably want to hide their past and are negative about it.

Would you say that English and Celtic are related at some level lower than (west)-IE because they are alike in do-support? Syntactic and morphological structure often get passed around between neighbors, and avoidance of overt subjects is as east-asian as being a slit-eye (classical chinese uses topic-comments profusely)

Classical chinese doesn't have equivalents to markers of japanese and korean. They are wholly different things, chinese doesn't have analog of word ga and chinese zhe is also different from japanese and korean yopic markers
