Half-hearted at best I would say. There are some annual events where politicians show their faces but most people don't really care.

at least in school we kinda just skim over ww2. not much happened here and we had very few deaths. ww1 is talked about a lot more.

boomer men (grew up with ww2 vet granfathers) see their service as a duty and think you should so so as well.
their wifes think one should lay down arms, surrender and let whatever happends happend. today that role is totally flipped its the girls who are willing to fight boys just want to play vidya.
in the end the main role of norway was to keep a large portion of the wermacht occupied so they couldnt fight on any of the real fronts while sabotaging every attempt to use us for production and weapons industry. we where quite successfull at both.

I don't I've been seeing more stuff about an apocalyptic war in the past that wiped out most men. We used to think it was merely a period but it turns out it happened in a 5 to 15 years period.
Not high technology or anything but something shattered humanity into pieces

Shit I should say it took place 7000 years ago. We used to think it took place over several hundred years, now it's 5-15 years. Every human site has all these make skulls who were killed in it. It's all over Europe, mena, Africa parts of Asia
