Nothing in the post says anything about earning achievements, so I'm not sure what you're quoting.
What I'm after is the difference between a life that's nothing but working, eating, and sleeping and a life where the gaps between those things are filled with enjoyment and exploration.
I want friends. I want hobbies. I want to have fun. I don't mean traveling the world and earning tons of money, I just want memories I can recall fondly so I don't feel like I did nothing with my one chance at being alive. I genuinely can't remember the last meaningful memory I have. I'd have to look all the way back to high school, which was over 10 years ago and the last time I actually had a friend group.
My life right now is a meaningless slog. I look forward to the end of each day rather than wishing the days were longer.
