Yes, he said I had ADHD, but I think he was just agreeing with me so I would keep paying for visits, and the medication didn't work at all
no one is aware of and no one knows how to treat mental illness. the only thing our best "therapists" can do is handing out MBTI test papers and telling you you are weak and overreacting in a very subtle roundabout patronizing but clearly noticeable way.

I would say it's taken by far too seriously. If you admit that you ever felt anything but overwhelming joy even for a second you have 5 "doctors" jumping down your throat trying to sell you some pills.

Weird that the graph doesn't separate out South and North Korea
i'd imagine South Korea has to have a higher rate than that given how high their suicide rate is

Far better than telling you nothing is your fault and you just need to "build up your self esteem" (by avoiding reality, abusing other people, taking five drugs, attending your weekly psych appointments in perpetuity and NEVER EVER EVER improving yourself meaningfully or growing out of things like envy, spite, general pettiness.

People are unhappy and latch onto these psych labels they see online as a form of identity
I think it actually stifles people from talking honestly because normal people outside redditor freaks don't like having their normal emotions being labeled rather than genuinely heard

Had to see psychologists and mental health specialists couple times a month for about two years while I was getting diagnosed and tested for my permabux.
Mostly just talking with an old lady in her 60's, filling out papers and that was about it. Got my diagnosis, got approved and that was that.

It depends. If I’d got an benzo prescription as a 16-year old they’d likely have helped and my life hadn’t been derailed due to massive anxiety. In my current situation they’d definitely just get combo’d with booze though.

A large part of depression is caused by behavioural factors.
This is what neuroscience shows us today.
Most depression could be cured by better habits.

Not exactly what the Mexican said.
But basically Depression is caused by a series of complex factors.
Basically the interaction of bad habits with the environment generates repetitive negative impressions in the brain, depression is a behavioural body defence of your brain trying to avoid new negative impressions.
But basically it's genetics x environment x behaviour.
