blue collar has formal education atleast in 1st world. trade school can give you engineering level jobs and engineer education can land you tradie jobs (if you sucked), or you can use tradie school as one of the possible routes to higher education.

If you become a technician here you graduate highschool at 16 and be on the job site by 20.
Meanwhile Sophie doing her sociology bachelor + masters has only just moved to some exciting city and is about to spend the next 6 years traveling around and having fun.

They don't do Erasmus. There is no Erasmus for tradies. In my highschool they didn't even get a graduation ceremony nor a Christmas dance.

I only have high school finished, i tried to get university multiple times but i wasnt able to get in so i gave up. Instead i went and got job and now i have been working 7 years. It's shit but at least im doing fine economically
