Every single god damn country I read about has debts, a deficit, is in some sort of financial doghouse, is there any country that has its head above water and isn't robbing Peter to pay Paul, as it were?

This is because the purpose of most European nations’ militaries is to prevent Russia from invading them. The exceptions are the UK, France, and Greece, and Greece is only an exception because it’s also to prevent Turkey.
