Britain didn’t even want to join WWI until Germany invaded neutral Belgium and it freaked Britain out of the idea of Europe being dominated by unstable militaristic autistic German retards

The Entente. The moron in charge of Germany thought it’s time to stir shit up for no reason. Poor Bismarck rolling in his grave.

Brutal, they literally only had to hold out a few more months and they get Constantinople and like a third of Anatolia (although the Brits almost certainly would have tried to screw them over like they did the Arabs)

Pursuing a war with Russia was absolutely the right call and Germany’s biggest mistake was not starting one sooner. The Russian empire was the fastest industrializing nation in the world at that point, it was only a matter of time till they overtook Germany.

The British and French both agreed to cede Constantinople to Russia once the Ottomans were defeated. Whether they go through with that is another question but they did sign a treaty promising it to them

If I was, I’d suggest the opposite of what they did, focus on knocking out Russia quick with Austria-Hungary and leave enough troops in the west to hold off the French defensively. The British wouldn’t have an excuse to join, though they likely would at some point to prevent a German dominated Europe, but given how poorly the Russians did when the Germans and Austrians were on the defensive it wouldn’t last two years against the full focus of Germany.

Then once Russia is knocked out I’d set up a bunch of friendly puppet states (Finland, Lithuania, Ukraine, etc.) and send in the eastern front troops to knock out France and then force Britain to the negotiating table. “

Wikipedia is such a shit website. Why are you making people click a link to a separate page to see the sides of WWI on the WWI page? Why couldn’t you include Serbia, Romania, and China? Those aren’t minor cobeligerants like Jabbal Shammar one of those is THE reason the war was fought

They would have shat their pants even if they managed to hold out for another year or two, it was unavoidable.
