I don't know. I don't own any robotic anything.
I use a normal vacuum cleaner.
I have too many thick rugs for one of those automatic ones to work.

they're about to go bankrupt because they can't innovate for shit, the only reason mop+vac combos exist is thanks to chinks, it took roomba ages to make one meanwhile china is already on the next trend with robots that literally pick up debris with an arm

My neighbors house burnt down because of a robot vacuum. It was a 2024 RoborockQ8 Max+. According to the insurance company (who contacted the manufacturer) it was most likely a faulty battery from factory but since they couldn't prove it, they refused to pay.
I will never buy anything with a huge battery in it like that.
My phone is enough.

Who the fuck buys this shit? A VERY basic vacuum cleaner, with more vacuum power costs $50.

I can buy a fucking mid-range Dyson for $500.

People are extremely lazy and retarded.
One of the newest things is putting "AI Powered" on the box of literally everything since people pay extra for it. Even if it's bullshit.
Walk through the store and everything from toasters to night stand lamps have "AI" today.

Everything nowadays is gimmicky. I went to the local hardware store to replace my fluorescent lights when they've died after a decade. Wanted to replace them with LEDs, since I'd likely die before they do.

Apparently, lights nowadays requires "wifi" to set them up and shit. You have to install the lights, and then use your phone to "connect" to your lights, download an app, and then you can control your light's brightness and colours.

Like... why? I'm sure there's some "AI powered" shit in there where it'll dim and brighten itself depending on the time of day or whatever bullshit.

All my lamps are still old fashion warm yellow light bulbs. €3 for a 2 pack. Suits me fine.

>>212865413
They are. They look great, and their suction is marginally better than regular vacuums at 20% the price. For example, their fans are actually shittier than cheaper fans, but people still buy them because they look "cooler".

I'd still buy a Dyson if I had the money to splurge, since it's not shit like their fans.

Fuck no. Get that shit away from me.
I like cables. I do not want something that won't work when the battery eventually turns to shit.
My last vacuum cleaner lasted me 13 years and would have lasted even longer if I hadn't spilled water on it.
How many charges until those cordless vacuums die? 300 cycles? 500 cycles?
I vacuum 2-3 times per week, takes 30-40 minutes for my house each time.
No thank you. Waste of money.
