Brazil only accepted the Japanese because they could no longer use their black slaves. It was Brazil that treated Nikkei badly.

>Japan deported all their diaspora mostly from Brazil for returning to Japan and working jobs the native Japanese do not want to do
i don't think they deported
they offered money to go back to brazil since the number of jobs in japan has decreased and it was better/cheaper for the government than they staying there doing nothing

Honestly this has been a thing for years now.
Specially since that they're not importing more Viets and Indonesians to work in their factories since they're cheaper than BRs and they don't complain about their work situation as much.

The BR community there is actually seething about Viets as well since apparently their gangs cause a lot of shit there and they feel like they're gonna be blamed for it.

Viets and Indons are considered more convenient as most plan to return home after working. Also yeah 180k jpy/mo is quite big for them.

Viet gangs and Kurds are the biggest troublemakers nowadays apparenrlt.

>>212870930
BRs do the same, but the issue is that some of them end up staying there for so long that their kids end up growing up as Japanese, so they're "forced" to stay until they become adults.

Also the one of the biggest reasons they're getting "excluded" it's because the Viets]Indos actually bother to learn Japanese, while there are BRs there who's been on the country for 30 years who doesn't speak a lick of Japanese.

So they depend on other people or their kids to do stuff.

Viet and indons need to study at least basic japanese before allowed to get trainee or job visa. Nikkei can got in on hereditary basis alone. I personally know quite a lot of indon nikkeis who do well both in japan and indonesia. Maybe because asean nikkei are mostly second gen so they can still speak japanese while brazilian nikkei are fourth or fifth gen?

Most in Japan and Nikkei and Sansei, Yonseis aren't allowed in.
They don't speak JP because the factories won't teach them and the community is so insular that most of their contact is in Portuguese. That's why many been there for decades, but can't speak JP.

It's actually a problem that both JP and BR govts tried to solve in the past since there's been cases of the parents speaking PT but not JP, but their kids end up speaking JP but not a lick of PT. Bizarre shit.

Probably because they're there to work, the Japanese expect them to go there, work for a few years and GTFO.

But what they didn't realized how deep rooted that community would be there.
It's to a point where the biggest organ of assistance for the community there isn't the JP govt nor the BR govt, but Evangelical churches from Brasil.
