This is a fantasy held mostly by people who have never done farmwork. Agriculture even when industrialized on a large scale is an enormous amount of work for those involved. Downsizing to tiny inefficient plots is stupid. Farmers are very good at producing food. Let them do their jobs, and we don't need to individually handpick beans all day or whatever the fuck you think homestead life involves.

Get rid of a few rows of vegetables and replace them with an enclosed chicken coop
Fill half of the roof with solar panels to decrease energy dependence
Plant some rows of corn in the field in the back for the chicken
Add a small shed to store firewood
Add a bridge in the middle of the pond
Get rid of the hammock and replace it with a few benches around the garden
Put a patio that extends out on one side of the house
