North Karelians are pampered by taxpayers in Helsinki though. West Finns are too for the record, only Uusimaa gives and doesn't take. They benefit greatly from being a part of Finland. There might be a lot of inbred schizophrenics there(and Kat next door) but they live much better than the people in the poor Russian Republic of Karelia where life is hell that ends only when you die.
