There were many people with african admixture in that founding stock. Society didn't start race mixing with blacks only after abolition, in the same way that the mixing with indians preceded their liberation. Many of LatAm forefathers had african admixture that comes from colonial times. So why do you exclude people with black slave ancestry but conviniently include people with indigenous slave ancestry? It's very arbitrary.
