I didn't arrive at this conclusion out of pride, I realized it while studying the past literature of various different regions after I left New England for being presently unbearable and killing off the culture of my grandparents.

Genuinely some of the nicest, most accepting, and charismatic people I've met have been from New England. Also some of the most arrogant, delusional, and Hillary Clinton-voter caricatures.

Granted, I can count on one hand the number of times I've gone up there, so I'm interacting with the New England diaspora. But overall, I like them a lot better than I like people from the Midwest, the South, and especially the Philly metro area.
