That's just online. The people who are good at English online consume a lot of English media and read a lot of English, including online media.
The ones who aren't terminally online, I would imagine, likely have worse English.
My Spanish is mediocre, but it would probably be a lot better if I immersed myself in the Spanish speaking internet and watched videos in Spanish, but it's not interesting to me so I don't.
