been twice for work:

Ulsan was pretty standard industrial stuff, but went to gyeongju on my day off and it was pretty cool

Seoul is impressive in many ways, loads of neat stuff, but I massively preferred my time in suwon and seongnam

I've also spent some time in Yeosu, was pretty interesting exploring the expo stuff when no one else was there, also the whole yu sun shin stuff is neat

But also food is amazing, as long as someone local is with you, it's hard to know where to go without korean, but that is a good thing in my opinion

Main things that annoyed me:

work culture is horrific
rains all the time, but it isnt designed for rain (for example, I couldnt cut through suwon train station from the west side to the east, so ad to walk outside around it)
weird political stuff in seoul, and weird ads on the train about korea owning some rocks instead of japan

I mean, the whole indoor korean barbecue is something I've never experienced in the UK (or anywhere else), probably because of our safety laws

And going to restaurants who will literally give me gifts (kitchen towels) for speaking a few phrases of broken korean is an experience that you don't really get anywhere else.

Street food markets exist on a scale we don't have where I live (i know they are in london and other cities, but it is a non-standard experience for me)

And given that most places I go to I am working full time, maybe get to stay over a weekend, the food is the one major thing I can judge a country on

I found the walk through the hills where there are mini churches and temples pretty cute, also spotted this soju claw machine, I can just picture an alcoholic losing his mind trying to get some drink

Been to Seoul twice and really loved it. Good food, good looking women, relaxing place to walk. I had my most "breath of the wild" moments there with all the hike trails. Better than Tokyo in every single way
