My state (Indiana) didn’t allow Sunday alcohol sales (besides restaurants and bars) until a few years ago.
Even now it’s still restricted to 12pm to 8pm on Sunday for some stupid puritan reason.
Also because of liquor stores pressuring the gov, you can only buy cold beer at liquor stores.
But you can still buy warm beer, cold wine, and cold cider and shit at gas stations. Just not cold beer.
Some group representing gas stations and convenience stores tried to sue the state about that, and lost last month.
