1. GRU Military Intelligence.
The units have no pathos name because they have no identifying marks on their uniforms. They work behind enemy lines.
The commander and co-founder of PMC Wagner, nicknamed “Wagner”, was a former GRU military officer. During his service in the GRU he received a large number of combat awards for the most complex combat missions, which he performed with particular success. This was an unrealistically dangerous man. For NATO.

2. FSB of Russia
- “Alfa”
- “Vympel”
They specialize in counterterrorism, hostage rescue and strategic operations both in the Russian Federation and abroad.

3. Rosgvardia ("Heavy Police")
- OMON (Mobile Special Purpose Squads)
- SOBR (Special Rapid Response Squad)
Rosgvardia is a similar structure to the regular police, but has heavier weapons and special purpose units, I have cited only two of the most famous, in fact there are many more. The Rosgvardia is engaged in law enforcement and anti-terrorist operations, with special priority given to schools, kindergartens and other facilities of strategic importance.

4. Kremlin
- FSO - the Emperor's guards. Everything you need to know.

Diversionary Assault Reconnaissance Group "Rusich".

It consists of volunteers who performed incredibly well in the conflict of 2014, as well as former fighters of Spetsnaz “Grom”.
The group is not part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, it is a volunteer formation (of which there are many in the combat zone now), and does not receive any funding or assistance from the RF Armed Forces, except for information. The band is fully self-supported and financed by fans. Ideology - “Russian nationalism” (extremist ideology banned in Russia). They consider Ukrainian nationalist battalions to be traitors to “Rus'” (because of their orientation to the historical enemy of all things Russian - NATO), so they mainly hunt for them.
The number of performed combat operations - large, including the conflict of 2014 - very large. There are no losses during combat operations.

Most countries have special forces to a degree. If what you mean is who has the best sof teams besides UK and USA, I'd have to say either France's GIGN or Germany's KSK based on the most prolific terrorism operations that weren't horrible failures (Spetsnaz).

yes, almost every nation has special forces, often even several units.
>>212955603
KSK hasn't had many famous operations yet. They were involved in hunting Taliban/al-Quaeda in Afghanistan and a bit in Yugoslavia too afaik. Aside from that they mostly trained other special forces in support missions. There are definitely special forces units with more combat experience.

Italian Navy special units

The Italian Navy special forces unit is the Divers and Raiders Grouping "Teseo Tesei" (Comando Raggruppamento Subacquei e Incursori Teseo Tesei - COMSUBIN). Specifically the 250-350 men of the Operational Raiders Group are the special forces section of the elite unit.

GOI (Gruppo Operativo Incursori) - is the branch with raiders; they are trained for naval/land operation are also trained for special operations in all kinds of environments like British SBS, forward air controller, counter terrorism ...(but are also used on the mountains of Afghanistan in operation ISAF), are also equipped with special weapons over/under water vehicles for silent insertions.
GOS (Gruppo Operativo Subacquei) - is the diver's branch for rescue tasks and damage inspection / repair of vessels and/or submarines. They're even specialized as underwater E.O.D.[3]
COMSUBIN's origins lie with the famous Italian special units "X MAS" (Italian acronym for Anti Submarine Motorboats)

-the Special Company of the 1° San Marco Marine Regiment.

Reparto Eliassalto REA (Heliborne Assault Unit) - special helicopters unit trained to support, supply, infiltrate/exfiltrate SF amphibious units in enemy territory.

The first game was not a project of Russia and Ukraine. To be honest most of the game was made by one person - Mikhail Kadikov (future in-house designer for Crytek and Ubisoft). For the game was even written its own engine - Xash 3D (single-handedly, by a man named Mikhail (moderator of hlfx.ru forum)), which supports texture shaders and many other things. The second game was made in isolation from the previous team. By the way, I recently played this mod for the first time in my life and it impressed me more than F.E.A.R. (which I passed before that).

Interesting fact: the first game has an unfinished sequel, which was supposed to be a full-fledged second part (instead of the one that eventually came out), but was canceled due to a change of circumstances of the developers. Build of this game is lying somewhere in the Russian Internet, if you know Russian, you can look for it. The plot directly continues the first part.

Your failure is quoting Western propaganda to discredit the "Putin regime," which no one here has given a shit about for a long time, even former pro-Western liberals. Russian special forces units were faced with a task that no one had ever faced, and they solved it to the best of their ability. What happened to Basayev and his friends is well known. If Basayev hadn't left, no one would have known that the US CIA was involved in this, to which they wrote Putin a dry reply of denial - it's just a fucking fact.
