It's because the land was too large and there weren't enough people in the various Finnish tribes to ever form a proper "nation". Estimates say there were 20k to 40k Finns living in the whole landmass we know today as Finland before the Swedish crusades began.

The high standard of living people have in Oslo has caused some politicians in Norway to react because it is so unbalanced with the rest of Norway and the Nordic countries.
I think we nordics should be grateful to have a city like Oslo in our region. Imagine how dull it would be if Stockholm or Copenhagen was the richest. It would be just like any other average european city.

The bridge was a mistake.
A lot of the downfall of Malmö has to do with it being Sweden, Norway and Finland's gateway to the continent. They thought building the bridge would revive the Malmö economy after its shipbuilding industry was outcompeted by Asia but instead they got immigrants and drugs and weapon smuggling instead.
