2009 is the first big breakpoint:
>36% of Americans had a Facebook account
>20% of Americans had a smartphone
>Number of widescreen LCD panel users surpassed square LCD panel users in the US
>Digital game sales hit 20% in the US
Second half of 2009 seems like a big breakpoint and all of the today's cancer(which actually started in 2007 but weren't popular at least for 2 years) spread into general population and popularized for the first time. If you only consider young population(-25) all of these statistics would be x2 or more.
I remember all of the popular Turkish family sitcoms ended in 2009-2010 and major TV channels stopped broadcasting cartoons like Smurfs, Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes. That is a sign of atomized childless society with no family values. Opinions?
