Raise the wages and people will be willing do it. Pretty simple.
I would easily be willing to pay more for groceries so long as it's done by legal Americans being paid fair wages.

It's not even about decent wages, sometimes a period of hardship is needed in order for there to be room for eventual innovation. Why make make the tractor or cotton mill when you have a never ending supply of slave labor? If anything, the equipment used by our bigger agri and food corporations will probably become cheaper either by organically or by government intervention. Specifically if they get their head out their ass and actually begin striking down corporation like John Deere, reform our broken patent system and regulate a little

There's plenty of people without degrees.

You know back in the 50s and 60s all the jobs the illegals took used to be jobs for the youth fresh out of high school.
You picked apples for a summer or did unskilled construction labor to help pay for college for a summer. But that little Alice of Americana was xooltws by brown illegals who made these jobs their whole career stealing opportunities from our youth

craziest thing is that "seasonal work" was pretty common, the reason the US didn't have a ton of Mexican migrants until the 80s is partially because they handed out temporary work permits, Mexican workers would show up, do their job and fuck off back to their families in Mexico as soon as their permits were over, no reason to settle in the US
but then that system was undermined and then NAFTA fucked over a lot of Mexican farmers that couldn't compete with the uber productive, subsidized American agriculture and they had to start moving north for work

I also remember reading a news article from over here of a farmer paying something like 4 times minimum wage for harvesting season, roughly on par with stuff like bank tellers, but almost none of their usual seasonal workers showed up, purely because having any kind of income, even for 1 month, would get them kicked out of the welfare and unemployment programs they were in, so social assistance is making people less prone to take shitty jobs

The average illegal worker costs the taxpayer about $100,000 overall in welfare and public subsidies because they don't make a wage that anyone can live on in the US. One of these farms got raided and the owner said that the illegals who were very skilled and were working there for years got paid $80 a day working 12 hours straight, which is much less than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour that was established 40 years ago. The profits are private but the costs are born by the public.

Wasn't there some study not too long ago, that basically found out that in America there are nearly 80 million people willing to work in factories and similar environments.

Back when America used to manufacture they peaked at a workforce of 19.6 million factory workers, field hands, etc. There's quadruple that willing to work now. Corporations and business owners just prefer to use slave labor.

>Now Gavin Newsome's administration is borrowing $3.4 billion from the stateโ€™s general fund to cover the unexpected cost increase. Itโ€™s unclear when the administration plans to restore the money.

>The administration acknowledged that more people are enrolled in the program than the state anticipated, and that the state is spending $2.7 billion more than it planned on coverage expansions for immigrants without legal status.

>Roughly 1.6 million immigrants without legal status are enrolled in Medi-Cal, according to state data. The program is a lifeline to people who traditionally have not had access to health insurance, and California is one of six states that offer coverage to immigrant adults regardless of whether they are in the country legally.

>โ€œIf we werenโ€™t spending eight-and-a-half billion dollars on illegal immigrants, we wouldnโ€™t need to borrow $3.4 billion to cover the difference,โ€ Jones said.

>H.D. Palmer, a spokesperson for the stateโ€™s finance department, acknowledged that the rise in spending is partially attributable to higher-than-projected costs associated with larger enrollment numbers for Californiaโ€™s undocumented population

If the USA is going to say trillions by outsourcing all IT to India we should put that money back into local labor. The "Americans don't want to do these jobs" is corporate MSM propaganda. People love the local industry, they just want livable wages and time to spend with their families.

100 years ago Milton Keynes predicted that by this time people would be working 20 hour weeks due to progression in labor productivity but instead we're working more and getting less out of it.

Lol, the lower classes think the elites are on their side protecting their wages.
Meanwhile the elites are envisioning a neu-feudal society where the lower classes are buck broken and made to work the fields for free.
Steve Bannon might have been the only honest voice speaking for the working class and he was kicked out of the Trump circle.
Tells you all you need to know.
The rest of them are all Peter Thiel types dreaming of neu-feudalism.

Maybe people will work if they take away all the free stuff that lets them not have to work. Most people don't want to work, even in the greatest of jobs. But we do it because we need to eat, feel a sense of purpose, hopefully contribute to something greater, and be able to pay to enjoy things. And we pay for things because other people have to work hard to build things or provide services that people want. The government welfare system takes all that away. Many people come from countries that did not make progress with their civilization, they just wanted to lounge around, hunt, eat, and hang out with family. That's great, but that type of indigenous civilization only allows a very small number of people to exist in a given area, because they depend on nature to provide. People have no incentive to work if they have everything subsidized.

If employers won't offer something that's better than the meagre existence of welfare then they shouldn't be in business anyway.
Fact of the matter is that employers are cheap scum who will fuck over their employees every chance they get. They don't need any more tools to flood the labour market and suppress wages even more, whether that be immigrants, illegals, feminism, or the removal of welfare.

Firsties don't want to clean toilets for minimum wage.
They eradicated their lower castes and made everyone equal.
Now the only solution is to import servants to do those jobs.
